STEP FOUR - Make Configuration Changes

Open the destiny.exe.config file with the notepad program and you will see the below.
(under the "type" column, the file will show as a config file, not an Application file)
You will need to change the company name to what ever you want to see on your screens,
you will save the "logo.gif" file that we have sent to you to the location in row 5.
Just in case, here is the location: (C:\Program Files\Destiny Patrol Software\data)
You must also change where it says "ecteam" to what ever was given to you as your
"c.i.d."
And lastly, you need to change the red zero in row 23 to the start date
noted on your contract when your service began, example of Jan. 1, 2011 is:
2011-01-01
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
<configuration>
<appSettings>
<add key="company_name" value="Your Company Name Here" />
<add key="company_logo" value="data/logo.gif"
/>
<add key="domain"
value="destinypatrolsoftware.com" />
<add key="serverip" value="38.106.205.139" />
<add key="serverport" value="9960" />

/>

company.id
-->
<add key="cid" value="Ask your Administrator"
/>
<!--
If this value has a validly formatted date, then this date will be used
as the default START date in the search tab.
If this value is set to 0, or if the date is invalidly formatted,
the search page will default to 90 days in the past.
Format: 2009-01-01
-->
<add key="searchStartDate" value="2011-01-01" />
</appSettings>
</configuration>
-------------------------------------------------------------

you
are running XP)

pic that shows the "Destiny Patrol Software" folder and its contents.
Locate the actual application file named "destiny.exe" and right click
on it.
You will click on properties, then click on the compatibility tab where
you
will check the "compatibility mode", then choose to run this program as
Windows XP - Service Pack Two.
You will also allow this program to have administrative privileges.
-------------------------------------------------------------
STEP SIX - Personalize Logo
To get rid of the default Eagle Seal logo, you can just replace the
pic with what your logo is as long as it is the same size (200 x 271)
and same file type (gif). Please remember that you need a transparent
background because you can change the color of the Destiny program
for day/nite use in the options menu at the top of the program.
The file is located here:

If we have created a logo for you, you can go to this location:
http://www.destinypatrolsoftware.com/images/YOUR CID/logo.gif
and right click on the picture, then save it to the location shown above.
Remember that you will be replacing the file named: logo.gif
If you are not afraid of a bit more computer jargin, we also suggest you
naming your logo file "logoYOUR CID.gif"
and changing the name in the above configuration file as noted in purple
If you have any problems or questions, please call us so that we can help.
We can also "remote" into your computer where we can make changes on your
computer from our location as you watch.
Also, don't forget to visit our video training page where the four areas of
Destiny can be explained to you in detail too:
